"Learning Design with Famous Architect" Selection Contest is a bridge for architectural majors and architectural masters to communicate, enabling them to have a profound apprehension of the masters' influence through their speeches and behaviors. This year is the second time that the contest has been held successfully with a strong and powerful mentor team including Dominique Perrault (France), renowned French architect and winner of Mies van der Rohe Award; Cui Kai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, vice president and chief architect of China Architecture Design and Research Group (CAG); Zhuang Weimin, national architectural master and president of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University; Liu Kecheng, president of College of Architecture, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology; Qi Xin, director and chief architect of QiXin Architects and Engineers; Li Xinggang, associate architect of China Architecture Design and Research Group (CAG) and host of Li Xinggang Architecture Studio; Wang Hui, founding partner and principal architect of URBANUS Architecture & Design and Gong Jun, executive director, general manager and design director of Shanghai Hyp-arch Architectural Design Consultant Inc. Representatives of each award-winning student group gave a wonderful presentation of three-minute long to the influential mentor team, after which the supervisors and the winners had a colorful and dynamic interaction.
