Urban Environment Design (UED) Magazine

Urban Environment Design (UED) magazine was founded in 2004 by the School of Architecture, Tianjin University, and Liaoning Science & Technology Press. As a representative of the fourth generation architectural media, UED aims to report the current development of Chinese urban and rural areas and to introduce international best practices of urban renewal, new city development, and rural construction. In the development of Chinese urban and rural areas, UED presents a holistic outlook by covering a broad range of issues, such as urban operation, community construction, ecology and energy conservation. The Design for City event series, sponsored by UED, has immensely reshaped the development of a number of cities and regions in China with its conferences, exhibitions, competitions, publications, and group designs. UED magazine is now the largest architecture magazine in China, a comprehensive media platform for magazine publication, event management, and new media.

SEU-ARCH, used to be the school of architecture, National Central University, founded in 1927 is the birth land of Chinese modern architecture discipline. The name was changed as the school of architecture, Nanjing University in 1949. After the alteration of higher learning nationwide in 1952, the name was changed as the school of architecture, Nanjing Institute of Technology. Finally name was changed back to the school of architecture, Southeast University in 1998, and in 2003 it was constructed as SEU-ARCH. Over the past 88 years, the school of architecture has fostered over 3,000 advanced talents in architecture, including 8 academicians, 10 national masters of exploration and design. All previous and the incumbent directors of the National Supervisory Board of Architecture Education (China) are faculty members of SEU-ARCH.
